The Barsters have been absent from the Cork & Keg line up for far too long. They claim to have retreated to their mad scientist laboratory to reinvent the musical wheel. As a result the new and improved Barsters sound exactly like the old Barsters, but better!

Like all previous Barsters gigs, the song selection will include traditional fiddle tunes and bluegrass standards from the Stanley Brothers, Flatt & Scruggs, Doc Watson and Bill Monroe. And since they are basically a rock and roll band with acoustic instruments, you will also hear classic songs from The Beatles, The Band, The Grateful Dead, JJ Cale, George Jones, Tom Waits, Van Morrison and of course John Hartford.

Rob Mangum plays fiddle, Doug Sharkey plays banjo and guitar, James Johnson plays mandolin and harmonica, Parrish Ellis plays guitar, and Travis Stuart plays upright bass. All of the band members alternate singing lead and harmony vocals.
